2025-26 SEASON OVERVIEW

Musica Viva NY’s 2025-26 season explores the power and diversity of the human voice through four vivid programs. We begin with Musica Viva NY presenting TEATRO REAL, showcasing four rising opera stars from Teatro Real of Madrid’s renowned Crescendo program in their New York debut. In ALL’S WELL SISTERS: Blanket of Snow, Musica Viva soloist Kathryn McCreary joins Tynan Davis and Caitlin Caruso Dobbs for a swinging holiday program inspired by 1930s jazz harmony. EL CAMINO offers a spiritual journey through Renaissance polyphony, African American spirituals, and Joby Talbot’s luminous Path of Miracles, culminating in the folk hymn Shenandoah. The season closes with THIS WILD EARTH, a raw, elemental celebration of nature and ritual featuring music by Whitacre, Lyons, and Tormis, crowned by the dramatic power of Orff’s Carmina Burana.
